Book cover for Lois Lowry's The Giver.
This is a school-turned-passion project. Initially just an assignment to craft a book cover became an inspiration for self-improvement and pushing myself to a greater understanding of the possibilities of the application of my new design knowledge.
The project started out with a series of idea sketches, which I then refined into more detailed drawings. After a peer review, I moved forward with the second of the two designs. Eventually, my skills with digital art creation improved and I was able to draw the cover the way I had originally imagined it.
